Justin told me about the Dustbuster Duathlon he was putting on Wednesday, before the race. I decided to punish myself for all of the food and snacks I had been eating during the holiday season, so I signed up.
It was a "short" road race with 1.5 mile run, 11.9 mile bike, 1.5 mile run. I looked at the finish times from previous years and decided that my goal would be to finish in less than one hour, but I would prefer to finish as close to 50 minutes as possible.
I finished in 59:20, but was still disappointed that my legs were not stronger on the bike. I did do some hill work Friday evening, before the race, but I think it had more to do with not biking enough during the past month. You know, cold weather, and all.
Anyway, it was a fun race and I'm glad I was able to play outside on a nice, warm day.

Thanks, Justin, for a fun, well-run race!
